One to watch: NZT

NZT BandI have lost count of the amount of times I have been asked where I discover the multitude of new bands I listen to, and yes both the internet and music magazines obviously help, but NZT are proof that you can find quality bands setting up in your local.

Comprising of Lee (Guitar/Vocals), Tom (Bass/Vocals) and Pete (Drums), this three-piece rock act have been touring venues around Bristol for a short while now, showcasing their Pearl Jam and Black Sabbath influenced tracks to anyone willing to give them a chance.

The band have now demoed two of the original tracks included in their set lists, namely Dusty Road and Let Me Out, both of which can be listened to below. When asked what the next step was for NZT following the demo recording, guitarist and vocalist Lee Waters said “They (The two demo tracks) are what we will be whoring about to get gigs, a sampler if you like. Once we get gigs we can then start paying for more recordings and then compiling it as an EP”

For those of you who want to check NZT out, their next free gig will be held at The Mothers’ Ruin pub in Bristol’s City Centre on October 25th, and with a sound the band describe as “dark, dirty, frantic, stripped down and not afraid of a cowbell,” who could resist?

  1. The two songs above have a nice vibe. Wouldn’t mind having a listen to you guys live. Wish you guys the best. Would like to hear something a little slowler aswell though to show off your full range of abilities?

    • Hi, Lee from NZT here. Thanks for your write up Live and Loud.

Ryan, we are trying to get as many gigs as possible where and whenever anyone will put us on. We hope to have more recordings as soon as we are able to. We will try to mix it up and get a couple of slower tracks done and will keep you updated if you follow us on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/NZTBand

Take it easy and we hope to see you soon.
