Stone Sour have announced details about their upcoming double album, House of Gold and Bones, Part 1.
The first installment of the album will be released on October 23, with the second part being available in early 2013 and was produced by triple-Grammy award winner David Botrill, who has worked with the likes of Tool, Dream Theater and Muse.
The band’s guitarist Josh Rand has described the album as some of the darkest the band have written so far. He said: “House of Gold & Bones takes everything that’s great about this band and amplifies it. The riffs, the lyrics, the grooves and the songs are like Stone Sour times 10. There’s also heavy stuff that’s like nothing we’ve ever done before. It’s dark as hell and a complete experience from the first track to the last.”
Roadrunner Records have uploaded an official lyric video for the first two tracks on the album, which can be viewed below. The full track-listing for House of Gold and Bones, Part 1 is as follows:
1. Gone Sovereign
